Committee

ULISoc, often referred to as the ULISoc membership, is composed of the vast number of students who are part of the Islamic Society, having paid the membership fee for the year. The ULISoc committee is comprised of a number of individuals who work together as a team to serve the needs of the Muslim students on campus. Within this, there is the Executive committee and the General committee. The Executive committee are those who have the role of using funds (from memberships fees paid by the membership and donation) as well as their voluntary time to organise the society's actions throughout the year. The General committee are members of ULISoc who have been on the executive committees in the past; they are able to attend committee meetings and offer advice, but have relinquished all executive responsibilities.

ULISoc Executive Committee 2011/12 (Current)
This academic year, there are a total of 9 executive committee members (3 brothers, 6 sisters) who are here to help Muslim students at the University of Leicester. You can often bump into them in and around the prayer room as well as elsewhere on campus during the day. Additionally, committee members are (bi'ithnillah) always present at ULISoc-organised events during term-time, so you should be able to see us at these.
